About

The British Wild Food Festival has been inspired by the Scottish Wild Food Uk Festival, which has been running for a couple years now in the autumn. Also encouragement from the Association of Foragers to hold a wild food festival in England. Many  of the AoF members have an active role in organising the festival and are running exciting events.

I wanted to create something that brings people together, while enjoying nature and the edible bounty that can be found. The start of summer is the perfect time for a festival and the best type of festival is a foodie festival that is surrounded by nature.

The British Wild Food Festival will be held at Hawkstone Park Follies in Shropshire, the festival will be based at different locations within in the park, so not only do you get to explore caves and views, walk along narrow bridges, through tunnels soaking up the history of the Follies but you get to take part in a range of activities, workshops, talks and demonstrations.

The day can be full of the hustle and bustle of activity or you can take it slow and relax in the forest bathing areas listening to bird song and the gentle breeze in the trees.
